At the last minute, we decided to have Easter in Arkadelphia. Since Adam had to work on Friday, Aunt Sissy headed down to Arkadelphia with us on Friday. It was Avery's first road trip so I was a little nervous, but she did great! Aunt Sissy sat in the back seat so that she could keep Avery company - thanks Aunt Sissy!
We arrived shortly before Mim and Uncle Mike. The Pitts boys and Dad didn't get there from NWA (Dad was in NWA for Bikes, Books and BBQ) until later that night so Mim and Uncle Mike got to spend some quality time with Avery. It worked out great since it was the first time that had gotten to meet her.
Avery had lots of visitors on Saturday morning. Pam & Richard Mills and Uncle Herbert & Nancy all stopped by to see her before we had lunch. She was such a good sport. In the span of about 45 minutes she was passed around between about 10 people and she didn't cry once. We headed back to NWA right after lunch to welcome Louise who came all the way from London to visit!
Here's some pictures that I took in Arkadelphia. There are even more on
Mom's Blog and
Melissa's Blog.
The Easter Bunny came to visit! He brought Avery her first Easter basket, some Dr. Seuss books, new pacis, and some hair bows.
The Easter Bunny also came to visit me and Louise! I got a new Starbucks mug and some candy. Louise got some Flamin Hot Cheetos (her favorite and not available in England) and some wine. We both got some smoked oysters and chowed down on them Easter day along with Adam's chicken enchiladas...yummy!
