The Hen House

There's been lots of exciting things going on at the Hen House.  The girls finally learned how to "bawk".  For a while I thought maybe that was just something chickens in the cartoons did since the girls were very quiet.  Now they are clucking and bawking up a storm!

Today I was headed out to redo their water and one of the white girls was on top of the fence!  I don't know how she got up there, but she decided to jump off and be a free range chicken for a few minutes.  You can see her outside the run in the pic.  Adam came out to help wrangle her and luckily she wanted back in with her sisters.  We opened the gate and the door to the coop and she went right in.  Fun times at the hen house!

Full Nest

Look at these adorable baby birds!  They are about to bust out of their nest.  Everyday I wonder how much longer they can all fit.  Wish them luck on their first flight!

The Rabid Watermelon

All of a sudden, Adam and I looked over at the counter and the watermelon we bought this weekend looked like this...wild!

Nice End to the Weekend

We got to spend some time at the lakehouse today.  Cici was a great kayak chauffeur for the boys, we went for a boat ride, then ended with lunch and some yummy watermelon.

I was sick of having dog toys everywhere, so I put all the toys in the toy basket.  Shelby is too little to reach in the basket without some help from the Betis, so she decided to just get completely in the basket.  Such a cutie!

Fancy Cakes

Mom used to make pancakes in all different shapes... Ms, turtles, Mickey Mouse...

I don't know how she did it!  This is my unsuccessful attempt.  I guess i need more practice. :)
