Avery's One Year Pictures

We had our favorite photographer take pictures of Avery the weekend after her first birthday.  I warned Meredith that it might be a bit of a challenge to capture this wiggly little girl, but she was up to the challenge.  We got really lucky that we were having an unseasonably warm day and were able to take some of the pictures outside.  I love how they turned out!  A few (ok..a lot) of my favs!

I like that these pics make her look like she has a little pot belly.

Rock on!! :)

The pouting chair that Richard Mills had made for me was a great prop.

I had seen this idea on Pinterest to have them hold one of their newborn pics.  Cute idea, huh?  Not so good in practice...  We were smart enough to take the picture out of the glass frame, but she was fascinated with trying to pull it off the mat.

She got it half of the way off :)

Then she decided that she wanted to take it to show the cleaning lady that was watching our photo shoot.  I actually thought this pic turned out pretty cute.  Adam said we should have put something cool on the back for her to look at so she wouldn't have tried to pull the pic off...hindsight is 20/20!

Meredith had brought this little chair and Avery LOVED it.  She was having a blast in these pictures.  I was right outside the picture frame ready to catch her if it toppled over.

Here she is digging dirt and who knows what else from the crack in the stairs.  She promptly stuck it in her mouth before we could stop her.

Gotta show off those walking skills!

I think these pictures really capture her at this age.  Now I just need to print some out to plaster my office in cuteness :)

Row, Row, Row Your Boat

Lately Avery and I have been practicing singing Row, Row, Row Your Boat in the bathtub.  She's getting pretty good at the "Row, Row, Row" part..but of course she didn't really want to do it when I was recording.  Please ignore my singing :)

The Pink Tricycle

Yesterday was gorgeous weather, so we pulled out the pink tricycle that Avery got from Cici and Pop for Christmas.  It's still just a little big for her, but I bet by the time summer rolls around she will be zooming all over the place!

As you can see, she has gotten over her fear of walking outside thanks to her daycare teachers.  They really worked with her this week.

I''m loving the little swiss dot tunic that Avery got from Auntie Weez.  It came with some adorable pink skinny jeans, but those don't quite fit her yet so we paired it with jeggings.  She looks so grown up!

Who Could Resist this Valentine?

Our Little Sunshine Enjoying Some Sunshine

The weather was gorgeous this weekend so we decided to head outside, enjoy some sunshine, and let Avery test out her new kicks.  She was more interested in eating her goldfish then walking around...she wasn't too sure about her new shoes and she's not much of a fan of grass.

The lovely mark on her forehead is a bread burn...yep, you read that correctly.   She fell while holding a piece of toasted french bread and it "burned" her head...it looks just like a rug burn.  Who knew that could happen - crazy!

We still think she's awfully cute :)

Thank You Card Photo Shoot

I saw on Pinterest a really cute idea for thank you cards that we decided to try for our Christmas thank yous.  Nothing is quite as easy as it appears on Pinterest when you have a wiggly almost 1 year old :)

Finally...success!!

Christmas - Part 2

Avery actually slept pretty well on Christmas night, so we were all well rested and ready to see what Santa had brought!

I snuck downstairs to get a picture before the chaos ensued!

The Pitts boys headed down first..I somehow didn't get any pics of us coming down the stairs...Maybe mom has some??

Avery wasn't really sure what to think about all the Santa stuff, but she warmed up quickly.

She was super excited about her sippy cups, which we thought was so funny.  Apparently the child had really been wanting a sippy cup!

She was excited about her tricycle from Cici and Pop too!  She should be big enough to ride it just in time for spring.

Reading the picture book with all the family pictures

Oh!!  I love this look on her face!

What are you doing to me, Uncle Kiki?

Oh!  This is fun!

Jayden apparently liked the pink tricycle too.  I think this might be good blackmail material here in a couple of years :)

Mim diligently wrapping up all the Christmas bows.

We told Kyler that he looked like a Dallas Cowboys coach!

Avery was so busy watching the boys open their gifts, that we ended up having to save a few for when we returned home.  Shelby and her daddy were putting together her tent.

She loved her tunnel and her mommy loves that cute little bum!

We had a wonderful 1st Christmas with Avery!
