Is talking up a storm and constantly has her feet in the air...

Is grabbing her puppy, pulling it to her and putting it in her mouth...

3 Months Old

Avery turned 3 months old on Sunday.  Warning - She was really hamming it up for her 3 month pics, so I took a ton!  I even took the chance to take some with her owl hat on.  You'll notice that in a lot of the pics she is looking up.  She has a new fascination with ceiling fans.

**There are several pics where it looks like she is falling.  I promise that she isn't!  She's just a super wiggle worm!!

Weight: ??  We don't have another doc appointment until 4 mos.  I'm guessing that you are at least 13lbs

Length: ??

Head:  ??

Clothes: 3-6 months.  This weather has made it really difficult for us clothes wise.  Most of your 3-6 month clothes are short sleeved or sleeveless to carry you through the summer.  We have been doing lots of layering!

Diapers:  Size 2 for now.  I think we will probably move to size 3 with the next box.  You don't outgrow them in the waist, but the length is starting to get short and causing blowouts - fun :)

Schedule: You eat 6 times per day (every 2.5-3 hrs).  You stay awake for about 1 hour them nap for 1.5 - 2 hrs.  The past few days, we have been working on getting you to nap in your crib.  It was rough for the first few days but you seem to be doing much better.  Hopefully this will make things easier when your Aunt Sissy and Cici keep you while I'm at work.

We still have the same nightime ritual starting at between 7:45 or 8:00 (bath, nurse, read, bed).  It still works like a charm.  You usually wake up once around 1:30 or 2:00 and we put your paci in and you will go right back to sleep. Then around 5:00 a.m., we all wake up.  Since I'm not ready to get out of bed yet, I bring you in bed with me and we cuddle for another hour until your first feeding.  It's one of my favorite times!

Temperament/Personality: You are the best baby!  You are laughing and cooing all the time.

Likes: You love bathtime and the massage you get afterwards.  You can hear your squeals throughout the entire house!  You are still loving your activity mat and like your exersaucer.  You still need to grow into the exersaucer a little more, but I think it will become one of your favorite places to hang out.

We still sing lot of songs that make you laugh and laugh.  Hmm...I'm wondering if you are laughing at my singing??  ;)

Dislikes: The only time you really get mad is when you are hungry or overtired.  Like I said earlier - you are the best baby!

Happenings: You rolled over!!!!  It happened on Monday morning.  You were asleep in our bed and I had to get up an go to the restroom.  I was only gone for a second and you started crying.  I ran back in and you were on your tummy!  I think it must have surprised you.  You haven't done it again, but we keep watching for it.

You are constantly trying to sit up.  Every time you are leaning back, you start pulling yourself up..I think it's to see your toes.

You still get so excited when your Daddy comes home from work.  You get the biggest smile and you reach towards him.  You love to touch his face with your hands - it seems to fascinate you.

You are taking a bottle like a champ, which makes Mommy happy since I have to start back to work next week.  You took one from Cici when she babysat you on Monday and you took 2 bottles from me while we were driving to Shreveport to see Mim.

We've made 2 roadtrips this month and you were a great traveller.  You pretty much slept the entire time.  Me, you and Aunt Sissy make great road trip partners.  You even got to stay in your very first hotel!  Here you are napping on the hotel bed and visiting with Mim

Your daddy and I were talking the other night about what a miracle you are.  It's just amazing that we made this wonderful little person and that only 3 months ago, you were still in my tummy.  You are growing so fast and we love watching you learn new things.  Your mommy and daddy love you very much!!

12 Weeks Old

The 12 week growth spurt - whew!  It's a doozey!  Our sweet girl has been nursing for up to an hour during some feedings and screaming through others.  She had a rough night last night and I had to hold her standing up and swaying for what seemed like ages to get her calmed down.  Its very unlike her.  Luckily she has done much better today.  Since we're headed to Shreveport tomorrow to visit Mim and are staying in a hotel room with Aunt Sissy, Aunt Sissy should be very glad that our sweet angel Avery is back (hopefully :))
Avery has been spending more timde in her Bumbo and is constantly trying to sit up while she's in her bouncy chair (as you can see from her pic.  We ordered her an exersaucer and it should be here by the time we get back from Shreveport...I think shes going to love it!
She got to visit mine and Adam's office on Friday after having lunch with Adam.  She was a hit!  And she looked super cute in her little smocked outfit.  Unfortunately I didn't get any pictures.
Here's some random pics from this week.

Avery LOVES Her Activity Mat

Fake Sneezes

Just so I remember -

Avery will occasionally do the cutest fake sneezes.  She makes an "acheww" noise with her mouth, but doesn't sneeze.  It's like she needs to sneeze, but doesn't know how.  It's usually followed by a real sneeze.  It's so cute!!!  Maybe I'll catch it on video one day.

11 Weeks Old

I'm a little behind on my blogging...oops!  Avery turned 11 weeks old on Sunday.  She is still just the happiest baby!

She smiles all the time and still loves it when I sing to her.  Her favorite songs are "Wheels on the Bus" and "Old McDonald Had a Farm".  She has also started to squeal and laugh when she gets really excited.  She loves when her daddy gets home in the evenings and talks to her while she is in her bouncy chair.

We tried the Bumbo for the first time this week and she did great!  I think it's getting time to buy and exersaucer.  She still loves her activity mat and loves to make faces at herself in the mirror.

She has also discovered the TV and will literally turn her head all the way around to look up at it.  I've had to start turning it off while she is on her activity mat so she won't just spend the whole time staring at the TV!  When she isn't staring at the TV, she is intently focused on her hands.  She's even started trying to lean forward in her carseat so that she can get to them better.

Here's a few pics and a video.  Sorry that the video is a little dark - it was in the morning and I didn't have many lights on.

The British are Coming!

My dear friend Louise (aka Auntie Weez) traveled all the way from England to visit us and meet Avery.  We were so excited to have her!  Things aren't very exciting these days with an 11 week old in the house, but luckily Louise was happy to cuddle with Avery and she was able to meet up with some more fun friends for Happy Hour :).

We did get out of the house a few times to get Louise some good American food.  We ate a Gusano's Pizza and Gas Station Sushi!  We even ventured out to visit Crystal Bridges Museum and enjoy the beautiful weather we had on Friday.  Somehow I didn't get any pics of the two of us :(  I can't wait for our next visit!

Avery's First Easter

At the last minute, we decided to have Easter in Arkadelphia.  Since Adam had to work on Friday, Aunt Sissy headed down to Arkadelphia with us on Friday.  It was Avery's first road trip so I was a little nervous, but she did great!  Aunt Sissy sat in the back seat so that she could keep Avery company - thanks Aunt Sissy!

We arrived shortly before Mim and Uncle Mike.  The Pitts boys and Dad didn't get there from NWA (Dad was in NWA for Bikes, Books and BBQ) until later that night so Mim and Uncle Mike got to spend some quality time with Avery.  It worked out great since it was the first time that had gotten to meet her.

Avery had lots of visitors on Saturday morning.   Pam & Richard Mills and Uncle Herbert & Nancy all stopped by to see her before we had lunch.  She was such a good sport.  In the span of about 45 minutes she was passed around between about 10 people and she didn't cry once.  We headed back to NWA right after lunch to welcome Louise who came all the way from London to visit!

Here's some pictures that I took in Arkadelphia.  There are even more on Mom's Blog and Melissa's Blog.

The Easter Bunny came to visit!  He brought Avery her first Easter basket, some Dr. Seuss books, new pacis, and some hair bows.

The Easter Bunny also came to visit me and Louise!  I got a new Starbucks mug and some candy.  Louise got some Flamin Hot Cheetos (her favorite and not available in England) and some wine.  We both got some smoked oysters and chowed down on them Easter day along with Adam's chicken enchiladas...yummy!
